Hi Rey! I chatted with Dr. Edward McEachern earlier today about your question. He said that he counters those that don’t believe in the efficacy of the vaccination, or claim that they cause transmission or infections, with facts.
Referencing the CDC, Dr. McEachern said the vaccines are not able to infect people, because they are only small part of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. That means that the vaccines do not include the complete virus.
The Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines only include the spike protein, which evokes an immune response.
The J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine contains only a piece of a modified virus that causes COVID-19. This modified virus is called the vector virus. The vector virus cannot reproduce itself, so it cannot cause COVID-19.
